Optical Absorption of liquid cultures

Using the liquid cultures that were made yesterday afternoon, today we used a plate reader to measure the absorbance of the cyan and magenta cultures. Cyan was measured every 4 hours as the colour appears to be developing much slower than the others, but the magenta was measured every two hours.

Transformations

In the afternoon we transformed the ligations from earlier in the week. This was also done on Tuesday, however, we now have fresh competent cells that we used instead.
