Project

Our main goal is to coat implants with silk, produced and secreted by bacteria. Silk is a biocompatible material and provides a scaffold for surrounding tissue cells, which reduces the chance of complications.

Outreach

As a team we promoted iGEM and the fantastic world of synthetic biology.
