To represent the carry, a molecule that can transmit a message from one colony to an other was essential. The communication between cells like in Quorum Sensing is a good illustration of the diffusion of a signal between bacterias. As in Vibrio fischeri, the use of AHL (N-Acyl homoserine lactone) is a good way to make cells communicate.
