Team:Queens Canada/Outreach

This year QGEM collaborated with Shad Valley to create a crash course in the field of synthetic biology of high school students. Over the duration of one weekend, the students wil learn the basics of the technologies and techniques associated with this new field and also work on starting their own project. A debate concerning the ethics of synthetic biology will also be held, to consider the advantages and issues with the engineering of organisms.
