Fran is in her second year of Biological and Medicinal Chemistry. She is also the President of BioSoc at Exeter Uni. Her favourite model organism is Galleria mellonella and she has terrible aseptic technique. This is made up for by an assortment of odd quotes.

She is also the President of BioSoc at Exeter Uni, which has a membership of over 200 students and has a variety of roles in both the academic and social sides of student life. Fran has mainly worked in the lab over the summer, but has also tried her hand at public speaking and working on the Team's outreach. Her hobbies include reading classic sci-fi novels and playing terrible games of tennis.

Biological and Medicinal Chemistry



3rd year Biological and Medicinal Chemistry undergraduate Fran Entwistle from Exeter iGEM 2013


Fran has just started her third year of Biological and Medicinal Chemistry, where she will be studying a variety of subjects from the molecular basis of infections and organic chemical synthesis , to pharmacology and a research project based on modelling Candida virulence in Galleria mellonella. She is also the President of BioSoc at Exeter Uni, which has a membership of over 200 students and has a variety of roles in both the academic and social sides of student life.
