3rd year biosciences undergraduate Georgia Drew from Exeter iGEM 2013
Georgia studies Biological science and has a keen interest in both microbiology and marine biology. In the summer she spent a week in the Bahamas studying reef fish nursery habitats and surveying macroalage and coral diversity. Now she is just beginning her third year project looking at type two component systems in Burkholderia cenocepacia, a bacteria commonly found colonising the lungs of cystic fibrosis patients. When not in the lab over the following year she can probably be found cycling to the beach or planning an expedition to Iceland.
