About Us
We are the combined iGEM team of Stanford University and Brown University, working together across three thousand miles and four time zones to develop synthetic biology applications that are relevant to astrobiology. Our team is composed of thirteen undergraduates and recent graduates working under the guidance of post-doctoral students and professors. Alex Constantino
Alex is a Computational Biology concentrator from Brown. He joined the iGEM team because he believes molecular biology is the closest subject we have to wizardry. He acquired his lab mojo studying plant secondary metabolism under Professor Judith Bender. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his cats and learning more biology.
