Join Stanford-Brown iGEM 2014!

Thank you for your interest in Stanford-Brown iGEM! We are continuing our transcontinental collaboration this upcoming year and looking for undergrads (including Class of 2014) to join the 2014 team!

Spend a summer working at the Synthetic Biology Initiative at NASA Ames Research Center and present your work at the world's premiere synthetic biology competition! Opportunities exist for all kinds of molecular biology work, computational biology, mathematical modeling, engineering, community outreach, and much more. Develop incredible research and lab skills as you manage your own research project!

1. Time commitment?

Winter/Spring 2014: Project Brainstorming and Preparation! Occasional journal club, lab bootcamp, etc..

Summer 2014: Magic happens at Ames! (Full time research position)

Fall 2014: Finish up projects and iGEM Jamboree(s)

2. Who are we looking for?

All undergraduates from any major are encouraged to apply! iGEM is highly interdisciplinary, and we often require skill sets from a wide variety of backgrounds. We want team members who are creative and committed to making the project awesome! In the past, we have had team members from programs in biology, engineering, chemistry, communication, art, and more.
