I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.  My research focuses on probing the diverse landscape of secondary metabolites in an attempt to find biologically active molecules with clinical applications. Specifically, I focus on terpenoid biosynthesis in fungi, with an emphasis on identifying biosynthetic pathway enzymes and eventually reconstituting their function in a producer organism such as E. coli.
