Welcome to the Team Kent iGEM wiki page. This page will give you an overview of our project and how we are going about doing it.

This environmental project started around an idea of detoxifying or possibly converting pollution using E. coli. From our studies and using departmental resources, we resolved to pusue the conversion of nitric oxide (NOx) to ammonia.

Our Biobrick will be not only able to detect NOx with the norV promoter but also convert it by harnessing the nitrification and denitrification via the nrfA protein.
