This year we are committed to communication between prokaryotic and eukaryotic through odorant. Our project is divided into producer and sniffer two parts. The producer is built to produce butanedione by recombinant ''E.coli''. In order to control the production of butanedione and make it generate with the stability of the cycle,we transplant the oscillator into the host at the same time. The sniffer is established in ''S.cerevisiae'' by expressed odr-10 receptors, and then we modify the ''S.cerevisiae'' signaling pathways, so that the host can receive butanedione specifically. Then we combine two parts, put in designed microfluidic device, supplemented by artificial regulation, and make it reach the expected effect of periodic producer and sniffer.

Overall project

This year we are committed to communication between prokaryotic and eukaryotic through odorant. Our project is divided into producer and sniffer two parts. The producer is built to produce butanedione by recombinant E.coli. In order to control the production of butanedione and make it generate with the stability of the cycle,we transplant the oscillator into the host at the same time. The sniffer is established in S.cerevisiae by expressed odr-10 receptors, and then we modify the S.cerevisiae signaling pathways, so that the host can receive butanedione specifically. Then we combine two parts, put in designed microfluidic device, supplemented by artificial regulation, and make it reach the expected effect of periodic producer and sniffer.
