4.3 W3110 Liquid Culture
I) Purpose
- Grow bacteria for use in experiments.
II) Expected Outcome
- Viable liquid culture of E. coli, W3110
III) Reagants Used
- W3110 plated colonies
- LB
IV) Actual Procedure
- We put a colony from our W3110 plate of E.coli into 1mL LB broth and left in shaker at 37◦ overnight.
- Repeated 4 times, leaving a total of 5 1 ml colonies.
V) Results
- Growth of W3110 liquid cultures of bacteria to create glycerol stocks from.
- The control tube showed no contamination.
