We had a busy day, for our university was occupied with moving to the new site, which was inconvenient for us because we had to get up early to the previous site of our university to do our experiments, besides, we had the duty to help the teachers to move things. Then we realized that maybe in the following days it would be hard for us to carry on some experiments for the nasty experimental circumstances caused by the total move of our campus.

We prepared some antibiotic solutions(cam and kam).

Cam antibiotic is water-soluble , 10mg/ml, preserved in the -20’c environment.

We needed to dilute it into two concentrations: 10ug/ml, 50ug/ml.

Kam antibiotic must be dissolved in the alcohol, 34mg/ml, preserved in the -20’c environment.

We needed to dilute it into two concentrations: 25ug/ml, 170ug/ml.

Transformation: importing the target genes into the competent cells. The competent cells are delicate, which must be preserved in the -80’c refrigerator.

Besides, we implemented the transformation procedure at night, after which we returned to the new site of our campus for rest. Although tired, we were happy doing experiments with our team advisor-Teacher Yinglan, and we had a pleasant chat on the way to the dormitory.
