Everyone was so tired that we slept late this morning, but we felt substantial. At noon, the advisor called us up to have a meeting. We realized the urgency of the time and we must have a tight schedule, we discussed about the later schedule and determined the new biobrick operated on found by our teammate. After the meeting, there was no time for lunch, we had to go to the lab to protect the bacteria taken from Hong Kong and pasted the plates, which meant we didn’t eat anything since this morning. What was the worst thing was that we found we had run out of the competent cells, and we remembered having told the teacher to order some for us but they forgot. We were desperate because without competent cells we could do nothing but wait. There was no time for us to wait, so we decided to borrowed some from the nearby institution-Shenzhen advanced technology research center.
