Human Practice

The 2013 Peking iGEM team have been focusing on the aromatic pollution in China. We conducted an questionnaire survey to gather the information of public awareness of aromatic pollution and its detection,. Then we made an on-the-spot investigation in a printing factory, whose manufacturing technique involves dyes and intermediates with aromatic pollutants. Afterwards, we did some practical analysis by testing water sample from Weiming Lake on campus. Inheriting Peking iGEM's tradition, we guided an iGEM HS team, which will be a participant in next year's jamboree. On September 7th, we held Model iGEM, which consisted oral and poster presentation. Seven other iGEM teams were invited and we had a face-to-face interaction.
