<p>Our LGD (Logical Genetic Designer) system is versatile. By adding plug-ins, the LGD can automatically analysis Genetic Circuits in real time. For example, we can analyze the efficiency of transcription terminators, thus reducing project duration. In this function, researchers can use our software to design their aim circuits automatically, without the traditional ‘manual’ steps such as viewing the papers to find the relationship between parts, and finding the most suitable substrate for the E.Coli and etc.</p>

<p>Biomiao is a good platform of integrating laboratory instruments together, both physically and logically. We don’t want Biomiao to be limited only in the idea but not realization, thus one of our future plans is to add the experimental part into our platform. The researchers will not only share, search and try their ideas in our Biomiao, but also know how to achieve them in the experimental steps, to be a key to achieve our ultimate aim that let Biomiao become the most popular platform in synthetic biology and can do everything. With the future Biomiao, the process of biology experiments can be significantly simplified. We can then take over the burden of awkward repetitive work from lab workers.</p>

Future Plan

In the next version of our software, we have the following plan:

Integrate other software into Circuit Registry

Circuit Registry is an open platform. We want to integrate other tools into Circuit Registry, such tools includes automatical mathematical modeling program, restriction enzyme sites identification software, and etc. In our current version, we also include TTEC, a terminator efficiency prediction software, which is developed by SUSTC-Shenzhen-B in 2012.

Promote sharing in synthetic biology community

Sharing plasmid is popular among iGEM teams and synthetic biology community. However, there is no website that list the available plasmids in the world. We plan to add such a feather to our next version software. A registered team will have an option to list the plasmids they are willing to share.

Add modeling function to LGD

We plan to add differentiation equation modeling to LGD. Current version LGD is only a graphical software. To help user to better predict their design, our next version of LGD can automatically generate equations and perform numerical analysis to the model.
