LGD

Introduction

Short for logical genetic designer, LGD is a genetic circuit CAD that can present the detail information of the engineering bacteria and “calculate” the relationship of related parts based on our database.

Synthetic biology is a newly developed subject. It is based on the idea of electronic engineering. For example in traditional biology research scientists always have some trouble dealing with multitudinous and not well defined biology parts. Well electronic engineering seems to help a lot! However we came up with an idea of building up an on-line CAD platform of synthetic biology researchers. Then we build LGD.

Tutorial

Suppose you have an idea of doing something crazy ha like building up an E-coli producing department of water on Mars!!! Then what should you do? Well when you came to LGD, here comes a circuit which makes the cell have the ability to live on Mars.

It seems help a lot!! But you want more skills like eating stones and releasing water? I’m joking, just don’t insistent. Let’s think about something more feasible. How about making them Blink all the time? OK just click “Addnewcodingframe” button then you got a new codingframe cod 2.

How about adding more useful parts and generate new species? Click.

Select what you want and see, it has been added in your coding frame! Don’t worry about complicated new relationships between various parts! We have already generate it out!!

What’s more you can drag and leave them where ever you like:

We will generate the relationship dynamically!

Well that’s not enough.

Press Save button you will have a local file xxx.lgd storing your own information about this circuit.

And you can open and edit it or shearing it with mindroad where ever you like if you can connect the Internet!

What fun!
