Who we are

Shenzhen_BGIC_ATCG is a special consortium named after a city. Team members are not from one school, but eight. In their 3rd or 4th year in university, some undergraduate students came to Shenzhen and involved in a joint program called Innovation Program in BGI College. After lectures introducing synthetic biology and iGEM given by our instructor K2, 29 students from ten schools, including HUST, SCU, SCUT, UESTC, WHU, SCNU, SEU and SUG,MAH,JNU, have decided to set up a united team for iGEM 2013. Students from eight different universities have contributed to this project including: - Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China - Sichuan University, China - South China University of Technology, China - Wuhan University, China - University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China - Southeast University, China - South China Normal University, China - Medical university of Anhui - China University of Geosciences - Jinan University

Undergrads:

Jianhui Gong: Our team leader, good at bioinformatics and synthetic biology.
Yang Yu: A Warm-hearted boy, major in biotechnology. Love sports,especially the basketball.
Rui Guan: Cute and excellent girl.Had a nickname, "a little Pokemon". With a strong will in doing what she likes to do.
Yang Zhou: Loves iGEM and working hard in modeling
Jinchun Zhang: A creative person, outgoing and friendly.Everyone called her "Aunt Chun" due to her maturation and proficient.
Shihong Chen: Due to his cute lips, we call him "little sausage".
Chenguang Gu: A slightly fat boy and seems to be shy. Everybody loves that guy.

Yanhui Xu : Studious Student, always fighting for her dream
Fanzi Wu : Very shy and tiny, good at experiment.
Xiang Li: A good man.
Yichun Cheng : Outgoing and interesting to talking with for his humorous

Lin Qiongfen: Just doing myself, not for best, but for better.
Qiaolin Xie:In the words of Adam Smith (The Wealth of Nations, 1776): “Science is the great antidote to the poison of enthusiasm and superstition.”So come on,let's work hard
Zhu Shuang: Studious and very outgoing. Being popular with everyone.
Kequan Lin :A steady fellow ,with serious appearance and hot heart .Like to make friends .
Shuang Liu: One of the smartest girl in our team, majoring in Mathematics and Application Mathematics.
he funan :I'm a senior student from UESTC, major in biotech, I am also a member of team degradation. I'm keen to learn and have passion in life science.
Wang Rui : A smart,pretty and slim girl from UESTC .
Lin Li :A dreaming girl, works hard to be a good "Time Commander".
Yaolei Zhang : A somewhat introverted but confident boy,who always believes that "Tomorrow Will Be Brighter".
Wei Wei: Always act as a gentleman, never refute to help others.
Bingwei Zheng: Looks like a common students but really different when you know him well.
Yi Lan: Like laughing, a smart and pretty girl
Yang Liu:A shy and interesting girl , from the CUG
Na Zhong: Good at cooking, we all love the meal she did.
Dongdong Li :
Wanling Zhou :A senior student from anhui medical university. As a BGIer at the IGEM tournament game this timeWorking in the degradation team. Before the game, we work hard, strive for the experiment. Team work is very harmonious, can finish the work with high efficiency. I'm proud of my team
Aiping Zhang :22 years old, born in Fujian province.A senior student from Anhui Medical University and my major is biotechnology. I am also a member of team Freezer. I like bioinformatics, and i will do my best to learn it well.

 Jianhui Gong as a team leader and K2 as our instructor draft our project "Cell Magic".

- - Experiments Conduct:

 Xiang Li： Yanhui Xu,Fanzi Wu, Yu yang from SCU: responsible for targeting peptide,XFP,terminators design and experiments. 
 Shihong Chen, Chenguang Gu, Yanping Lu, Jiale LIANG,from South China University of Technology, are responsible for the Src1 and Mer1 intron design and experiments.
 Zhu Shuang, Kequan Lin from Wuhan University and Wei Wei, Bingwei Zheng, Yi Lan in HUST work together for the promotors.
 Rui Guan from SEU and He funan, Wang Rui, Lin Li, Yaolei Zhang from UESTC made their efforts to the degradation parts.
 Wanling Zhou, Aiping Zhang, Dongdong Li, the undergraduates in MAH, joined the part ***
