Ryan Putman: Ryan is entering his junior year in Biological Engineering at Utah State University. This is his second year as a member on the iGEM team. Ryan is involved with various other synthetic biology projects when not working on iGEM. His hobbies include basketball and tennis.
Neal Hengge: Neal will be a senior in Biological Engineering at Utah State. He has worked on the production of acetone, butanol, and ethanol from Clostridium as a research project during his time at USU. Neal enjoys watching and playing all sports as well as practicing his cello. Neal is looking to attend graduate school next fall.
Charles Barentine: Charles will be a junior in Biological Engineering and is participating in iGEM for the third consecutive year. Charles spends his free time camping, rock climbing, and snowboarding with friends.
Andrea Halling: Andrea is entering her junior year at Utah State in Biological Engineering and is participating in iGEM for the second time. She has been involved with the Engineers Without Borders program, which included traveling to Mexico to do volunteer work for disadvantaged communities.
Tyler Gladwin: Tyler is an undergraduate student at Utah State and is a first time iGEM team member. He is involved in research in the Metabolic Engineering lab at USU dealing with the production of various proteins and novel compounds.

Asif Rahman: Asif is the graduate advisor for this year’s iGEM team. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Biological Engineering at Utah State University. His area of study is secretion based recovery of bioplastic from recombinant E.coli and scale-up of the process. Asif is from Auckland, New Zealand. He obtained his Bachelors in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his Masters in Chemical and Material Engineering from the University of Auckland. Outside of the lab Asif plays cricket, tennis, swimming, and soccer. He also enjoys traveling.

Dr. Charles Miller is the faculty advisor for this year's Utah State iGEM team.
