GFP under Arsenic Inducible Promoter

GFP production in relation with arsenite concentration

To characterize the response of the Arsenite sensible promoter several cultures carrying a plasmid that encodes GFP under this promoter(Bba_K1106004) were grown overnight with different arsenite concentration (0, 10, 50, 500 and 1000 ppb.)Fluorescence was then measured with a fluorimeter at 395 nm excitation peak and 509 nm emission peak. All was normalized by the culture density measured by OD (600nm).

Results

As it can be seen in the graphics bellow the arsenite sensible promoter is correspondingly active in relation with the arsenite concentration.
