Overall project

This year ASU iGEM plans to revolutionize the toaster industry with a new, one of a kind, bacterial toaster. The current toaster industry is both static and lacking of new innovation. Toasters are for the most-part non-portable, require electrical plug-ins, and non-replicating.

Bringing the heat

Catalase is capable of converting millions of hydrogen peroxide molecules into water every second. The reaction is exothermic and may theoretically be used for pasteurization or toasting purposes.
