5.10 Bacteria Cultures, 25 mL


I) Purpose

Grow bacteria for later use in purification of phage.

II) Expected Outcome

Viable liquid cultures of E. coli W3110

III) Reagants Used

W3110 freezer stock
LB


IV) Actual Procedure

Infect 25 mL of LB with 1 loop-full of bacterial freezer stock and leave in shaker at 37 overnight.

V) Results

Growth of liquid culture of bacteria to infect and amplify amounts of phage.
