Host Lab
We were hosted in the CRI (Interdisciplinarity Research Center) laboratory located in the Faculté de médecine Paris Descartes.
We had a safety training session with Chantal, one of the CRI lab's technicien as well as a training on lab machine usage. The lab provided us all the machines necessary for microbiology such as centrifuges, PCR machines, sterile hoods, freezers, incubators, microscopes, plate readers, glassware, pipettes, a NanoDrop machine.
We were in charge of taking care of the stocks as well as ordering our lab equipment such as gloves, plates, measuring pipettes, tips, 1mL tubes, 50mL tubes. All the media and the glassware washing was done by us.
Our work was independent from the CRI lab researches.
