Human Practice
We have been focusing on the pollution and detection of aromatics in China. To obtain the information of public awareness and current attitudes on aromatic compounds, we handed out questionnaires. Then we made an on-the-spot investigation in a printing factory, whose manufacturing technique involves dyes and intermediates with aromatic pollutants. Afterwards, we did some practical analysis by testing water sample from Weiming Lake on campus. Inheriting Peking iGEM's tradition, we guided an iGEM HS team, which will be a participant in next year's jamboree. On September 7th, we held Model iGEM, which consisted oral and poster presentation. Seven other iGEM teams were invited and we had a face-to-face interaction.
