Modelling and Simulation

Our model involves both activation and repression systems. Activation of asr promoter in acidic medium results in production of GFP and TetR proteins. Increasing tetR in the system results in repression of Tet promoter and hence reduction in the production of RFP. Parameter Description Value RFP maximum production rate 1mMmin-1 RFP repression coefficient 0.1mM RFP degradation rate 0.0041min-1 H+-asr cooperativity coefficient 0.4 tetR maximum production rate 1mMmin-1 tetR repression coefficient 0.1mM tetR degradation rate 0.0692min-1 H+-asr cooperativity coefficient 0.4 GFP maximum production rate 0.05mMmin-1 GFP repression coefficient 0.1mM GFP degradation rate 0.0692min-1 tetR-ptet cooperativity coefficient 2
