- Finished the PEG purification.

5.26 PEG Purification


5/31/13

- Worked on setting up our notebook online.


6/3/13

- Ran the CsCl purification step.

6.3 CsCl Gradient Phage Purification

- Next class we will attempt extracting the phage from the gradient.


6/5/13

- Extracted the phage from 6.3 CsCl Gradient Phage Purification using a syringe and a needle.

Only extracted T4 because the T7 gradient was destroyed in the refrigerator.
Extracted the T4 band as well as debris from the bottom as the gradient was partially destroyed.
Placed these in the refrigerator.

- Prepared stocks of bacteria for future use.

- Made 1 L of 10 X phage suspension buffer.
