Groningen

Two members of our team went to the iGEM Team Groningen to perform microarray analyses. With this approach we tried to get a closer look into cyclic di AMP influenced gene regulation.

Two members of our team with the Groningen iGEM Team.

We were interested in the expression levels of ydaO under different conditions, which was our indicator for the “riboswitch” appearance. Naturally, we also looked for other genes which could be of interest for our project.

Here Sam is preparing the needed RNA for subsequent microarray analyses.

Besides the lab work, we were also interested what Groningen has to offer during the night. So the Groningen team took our two members to a night out through the nightlife of Groningen.

In some Groningen bar.

In return for helping us with the microarray analyses, we as Team Göttingen tried to help out Groningen in attracting more sponsors. Therefore we showed them how we got in very successful contact with our sponsors.
