Philipp has been involved in iGEM at UCL since 2011. This year he's advising the undergraduate team (link) and is spearheading the Entrepreneurial team. Darwin's Toolbox excited Philipp, as it brings together his interests in synthetic biology, citizen science and technology.		 Bethan Wolfenden

Tom Catling Tom CatlinTom is a PhD student in UCL's Optical Science Lab working on thin mirrors for x-ray telescopes. He enjoys making all sorts of stuff and met the other IGEM E team members through UCL's Institute of Making. Biotech is a really interesting field and he firmly believes in a technically and scientifically literate society, so he thought this project sounded very interesting.
