The wetlab started at the beginning of summer and lasted for three months. Based on what we learned from tutorials, we put our knowledge into practice. The wet lab is divided into four parts, namely, fatty acid sensing and cell transfection, promoter construction and characterization, mitochondria leader sequence (MLS) construction, and the construction of glyoxylate shunt, aceA and aceB. During the summer, lab work such as primer design, digestion, and ligation was carried out extensively and useful data were collected. These can be retrieved from “Data page”. However, the time allowance is not enough for us to finish all and what we are going to do is listed in “Future work”. In addition, protocols used in lab and issues concerning lab safety are included under this module.

Wetlab
