The Photo Journal
This online photo journal, is an interactive visual tool to help you see just what exactly the team at Macquarie has been doing.
To use this photo journal simply hover over each desired photograph, which will enlarge the photograph and provide some relavent information about the photo and work being done.
Simply hover off The photograph to select another.

Week 1

Team members Harry and Nadine running a test run of Gibson Assembly using protocol instructions
Team members Mike, Scott and Ethan getting ready to get into the lab
Affective labeling can go a long way, Fatima labeling Eppendorf tubes for minimal confusion

Week 2

Avneeta and Abdul working on some BioBrick Gibson Assembly reactions
Daniel, Amy and Mark working together on wiki and fundraising
Kate, Annika and Kirsten electroporating E.coli cells for transformation with lighting setting the mood for science time

Week 3

Daniel and Rani working on a tumblr page and checking out other university posts
Mike, Fatima and Abdul checking out PCR quality checks prepared by Scott and Jarrad
Team members working on research, outreach, safety and the electronic note book

Week 4

Daniel and Ethan being classic with Louise catching us off-guard with a sneaky photobomb
Scott preparing Agrose gel for gel electrophoresis quality check with Rani giving a thumbs up in the background
Jarrad about to be the bearer of good news, we have a few successful BioBricks!check out the real feeling by youtubing 'Laboratory life - Successful biobricks igem'

Week 5

A few taped up plates getting ready for incubation, have to check for transformant colony growth on selective media
Diana and Kirsten giving a lecture on Gibson assembly during a second year unit
Safety team Annika and Kate working hard'

Week 6

Members: Scott, Jarrad and Damien working on assemblies and in the lab
Team members working together behind the scenes working on a variety of research, outreach and sponsors
Few members of iGEM team running a synthetic biology workshop in Davidson high as a part of education and outreach

Week 7 - Open Day

Ethan, taking advantage of our "Dress up like a scientist" stall at Open Day
Dan, informing a potential future macquarie student about Chlorophyll and photosynthesis.
A sneaky candid photo of Nadine and Kirsten high-5 for getting people involved at the glowing bugs stall.

Week 8

Macquarie iGEM team presenting our project to the Australasian Undergraduate Research Conference
Winners of the Australasian Undergraduate Research Conference, We WON!!
Members collaborating together, one week before the deadline

Week 9 - Lab

WOOHOO NO GROWTH ON THE CUT PLASMID CONTROL PLATE this is a good sign.
Frantic lab sessions, Adam, Mike & Dom doing some final experiments and composite part construction.
Getting into the spirit of Green Macquarie university style.
