The digital bacterial-based minesweeper

We created a 2D spatio-temporal model of the Colisweeper bacterial game to evaluate our network, validate the design and get some insights of how we can improve our system. Essentially we study the diffusion of AHL in a hexagonal grid setup with mine and non-mine colonies. For the simulation, we used COMSOL Multiphysics. Most of the model parameters are derived from literature supported by experimental evidence, and very few of them are fitted.

  • Model Calibration with experimental data: Genetic Circuit with GFP as reporter
On the left is shown the experimental result-fluorescence- after 11 hours of incubation of the plates, mine colonies are delimited in green. On the right the simulation results are displayed, corresponding to concentration of GFP (mol/m3).
