Studying mutant human enzymes of the urea cycle by metabolic complementation techniques, aimed at locating genes on human chromosomes of somatic cell hybrids between different sources. In the same period he worked the transcription and translation of ribosomal proteins of purified ribosome from Xenopus laevis oocytes in different developmental stages. He received his Ph.D. in Biology in the College of Biological Sciences. Actually work in Agave analyzing nucleotide sequences for use as determinants in molecular taxonomy procedures. Interested in the phenomenon of hybridization between different species lineage as a driver of biological evolution process.
