Overview
The production of endogenous mediators is of great interest. The overexpression of glyceroldehydrogenase in E. coli is a promising approach for production of NADH as electron-shuttle. Next to NADH as endogenous mediator we established the Riboflavin synthesis pathway in Escherichia coli. Futhermore, we have tested the possibility of expressing the mediator phenazin. Phenazin is an endogenous mediator of Pseudomonas species.
